Arrived Safely

Hey everyone,
I arrived safely in Spain! I have been here a week now and feel like it has been a month (in a good way!) The relationships I have built are meaningful and my friends do a great job of encouraging and pushing me to be more like God. I live in an apartment with seven other people, so I get a lot of community! The interns I live with all come to G42 with different dreams and ambitions. I feel honored to be surrounded by so many people who are on fire for the Lord and for advancing His kingdom.
Classes started this past week. Our teacher was David Fredrickson who is one of the men who founded G42. He has been a pastor for the majority of his life in the Netherlands and now teaches around the world. Our topic this week was “Claiming our Inheritance,” one that will come up quite often in the future. We were challenged to realistically face where we are on our spiritual journey and what we need to do to be free from the bondage of our pasts. We can’t move forward unless we have the chains removed from the past. It was a hard week, I was mentally exhausted and each session grew harder and harder. I now appreciate the beauty of Mijas even more because it gives me restoration from what I am mentally processing. I can see how God has perfectly orchestrated G42 for this season of my life and I see why Mijas Spain is the place to find refuge.
More to come!

Why I am Going (Video)

I believe in surrounding myself with people who are better than me. I believe in having specific people in my life who will challenge me, encourage me and hold me accountable to becoming a more Godly woman. I believe my life is greater than a 9-5 job, microwave dinners and weekly TV shows. I am not here to survive this life, but to use the life I am blessed with to further the Kingdom. That includes investing in myself now so I can better invest in others later, emulating God to a higher degree.
As Christ followers we are called beyond the ordinary, we are called to push deeper, and we are called to think greater. Fear and doubt stop us, but what if we were surrounded by a community where fear and doubt could not thrive? What would we do then?

I am excited to explore this and I know just the quaint town in Spain with an excellent community in order to do so.

So… Question, Why am I doing this?

It is simple, I am called to be more like Christ.
